LemSet

LemSet is a tool for creating custom graphic sets for Lemmix-compatible engines; it fully supports all NeoLemmix features. LemSet can also decompile existing graphic sets, allowing the creation of modified versions of existing graphic sets.

For information on how to use LemSet, please see the LemSet Tutorial. If you would prefer to learn by examining an existing style, just run any existing graphic set through its decompile mode.

If you are simply wanting to convert a Cheapo style to a NeoLemmix one, you will need Essman's Cheapo Style Extractor; after extracting the style with this (if you get an error, it may be because the style you are extracting relies on other styles as well; most often this is just Default.sty but may be others as well), put LemSet in the same folder, run it, select the Cheapo Conversion option, and enter the filename of the original style file (without an extension); eg "orig-dirt".

LemSet is open-source; the source code (for QB64) is included in the download of the current version. I no longer have the source code for V2 sorry.

Note that LemSet will soon be considered redundant; a new, GUI-based graphic set editor for NeoLemmix (and SuperLemmini) is in development. It will support importing any LemSet graphic sets, whether compiled or in source form, so you will not lose your work if you use LemSet in the meantime. Please do note however that the "Protect Style" option of LemSet will be ignored in this new tool; if you would like to edit-protect your graphic sets, please use NeoLemmix's encryption feature (for NeoCustLemmix packs) or build them into a player EXE using the Flexi Toolkit.

Current version: V13.3
